Heartfelt thanks, a source of inspiration

Had a wonderful evening with Xueyong's and Vivien's celebrating their birthday together with David and "Beat the rice". Block 85 was our first destination and Changi Airport was the last (:

Just a little bit about how I felt; today was honestly one of the time I find myself getting extremely depressed over the lack of finance in my life; a syndrome inevitable as we grow older? However the point is, I am here to affirm someone, whom met my needs and gave selflessly throughout the entire celebration. This person is none other than..

Our very dear David Hoe aka The self proclaimed "MALAO"

Why do I say so? There were many instances throughout the entire day that all of us witness:

Knowing David Hoe as David Hoe, anyone would know he is not exactly the most gifted craftsman you can find around; Never send furnitures to him for repairs because chairs will turn into dining table and vice versa. However despite not being exactly the most talented in this area, he chose to stay up till late into wee hours after a long day, racking his brains for creative ideas on how to make the birthday cards.

Upon reaching the hawker center near evening, you immediately went around to check out the stores, to give us a list of the available food nearby. You could have just simply sat down and rest like all of us did even though you were exhausted, but you didn't. You took the lead to give continual suggestion and the food in the picture above were then introduced and decided.

I did not have enough cash and you willingly paid half of the sum for me without asking for returns. Not to mention the almond dessert that you bought for every single one of us that seemingly went unspoken.

On our way to Changi Airport just before we entered the train station, you ready to pass me cash knowing that the credit in my card was running low. No one asked you to, but you were ready to bless on your own accord. I suppose if it had been taken and I happen to forgot to pay like how Xueyong and I usually do (haha), you would have not pursue it aggressively, maybe forget it unintentionally and perceive it as a form of blessing.

Upon reaching our final destination for fries at Macdonald; besides Vivien who didn't need to pay, it was just the four of us paying. Miraculously, the four people paying 50cents each can add up to amount of $6.00. You should know who was behind this again (:

Lastly in the Macdonalds, while we were thinking that David Hoe was in the first class toilet bombing nuclear warheads, he was actually coordinating the preparation of two birthday cake at TCC alone. Everything was set up perfectly beforehand, and we were able to see the lighted candles from a distance when we headed towards the place; because he did the backstage work again. Question is: who paid for the cake? I don't know who paid, but what I do know is we did not fork out a single cent.

Hey David,

I just want to let you know that in each and every investment you have made, whether it appeared evident to us and even at times if it was even noticeable to us; I want to thank you for showing us what it means to be sacrificial and God certainly smiles over such attribute.

How one is labelled as a man of selflessness is not just by the color of the paper he deposits in the red sock every Saturday service; but by his entire life he chooses to dedicate as an offering to God, in all aspects. You are one like such!

I am constantly amazed by how you deal with your struggles in such a victorious fashion, "not wanting to be hindered by the dollar signs in your life" not just by hanging it around by the word of mouth but by living it out; thriving to give more than what you need not have to give. Thanks for being a role model to everyone in meeting needs.

Time to apply the principle of "Blessing Forward"

To live for God alone.
