Had a short conversation with him earlier this afternoon and honestly, I am really glad to have him within our midst, seeing this person making decisions of maturity coupled with much decisiveness. As some of us might know, he has been up against parental objection ever since he joined us, constantly facing difficulties in joining us for even the simplest gatherings like lunch and lifegroup. Yet despite of all these barricades and oppositions, he continues to remain fervent in his desire to be part of this family by being present as far as he could; and frowning is never seen walking together with him. A optimistic and joy-filled person indeed.
Few things that caught my attention in the talk we had:
- Him knowing that "church" is not the reason why he should give when being questioned in his studies, yet knowing that it is the right thing to balance both with the time he is given.
- Respecting his parents and honoring them by obeying and complying to their restrictions as far as he could; yet at the same time desiring for what is God pleasing.
- Never boasting about the talents and abilities he possesses and being keen in improving them; [use them for his purpose soon, when the right time comes!]
Talking to him made me re understood what was child-like faith again. Sincerity and genuine heart in just wanting to know more of God's love in his life.
Yixun: I just want to let you know, it is evident that God has lay out an amazing blueprint specifically for you in your life, and had long ago placed talents and gifts in you even before you knew it, so that your life may prosper when the right time comes; to be a blessing to his kingdom and many people around you. When the time comes, be sure to steward them well (:
All in all, thank you for part of this family; you matter to me, the rest of us and lastly God.
Looking forward to foster friendship with you, and serve together with you. Cheers.
